WELCOME! Wandergirls is an arts and nature based summer day camp serving the East Bay community. It is our mission to support girls in feeling deeply connected to themselves, to others, and to the world around them through making art, time in nature, homesteading and mindfulness activities. By building connections, we hope to empower girls to access their own inner knowing and to feel strong within themselves as they move forward into their teen years and beyond.
Our Activities Include:
- Orienteering, Hiking, Shelter Building
Art Projects- designed for self reflection and sparking the imagination
- Art Journals, Collaging, Poetry, Clay
Mindfulness Exploration– to develop awareness and inner calm
- Yoga, Movement, and Meditation
Homesteading- teaching approachable and handy skills
- Botany, Herbalism, Handmade Herb Oils and Candles
All activities are done in an atmosphere of discovery and playfulness, while also being grounded and present.
We hope to build a close knit group, accepting only 12 girls, with a counselor to camper ratio of no more than 1:6.
When: June 19 – 23, 2017 9am-4pm. *4-6 after care option if there is enough interest
